The Beatles New AI Song

The Beatles, an English rock band that was popular in the 1960's who have been broken up for more than 50 years, has just released a new song using the help of AI. It was released on November 2, 2023.

Two of the four members of the band have passed by the remaining band members used past recordings of them to bring them to life again. George Harrison died in 2001 from lung cancer and John Lennon was killed in 1980.

The band used Harrison's guitar parts that he recorded in 1995 and Lennon's vocals from past demo tapes.

The song, "Now and Then" isn't just all AI but uses the former bandmates parts with some added new music.

Lennon recorded an unfinished demo of "Now and Then" in 1977 but it was never released. Now, decades later, his bandmates finish the song as their last song as The Beatles.

"Now and Then" is about the continued legacy of The Beatles as well as offering an opportunity for McCartney and Starr to say one last goodbye to the band on their terms. The song holds a significant value of respecting the legacy The Beatles held as well as the emerging technology that is revolutionizing the industry.

Many people are questioning what this means for the music industry and the impact it will make on creating and developing new music.

It will be interesting to see how other artists use this technology to create and remake music.
